A writer of creative + narrative nonfiction, fiction, historical studies, and verse, Dave’s work has appeared in Baseball Ink, The Chaffey Review, The Raven’s Perch, The Write Launch, and online history journals: The Almanack, whitehousehistory, and Tropics of Meta. Influenced by: James Agee, Thomas Wolfe, C. Vann Woodward, Annie Proulx, Cormac McCarthy, Billy Collins, Elliott Smith, Hope Sandoval, Faulkner, Thoreau, Kerouac. Author of 3 full-length novels: Analog (2026), The Jazz Man (1998), The Regular (Atmosphere Press, 2021). Author of several full-length creative nonfiction works: Through (2021) and Ghost on the Hill (an ongoing 4-part series).
Dave lives on the hip east-side of Atlanta with his beautiful wife, dogs, cats, guitars, and 1000s of well-worn books.
